Bio
Dr. Kamile Hamiloğlu holds a BA in ELT (Dokuz Eylül University, İzmir, 1981-1986); an MA in Communication (İstanbul University, İstanbul, 1992-1995); a PhD in Educational Sciences (Boğaziçi University (with MA courses as prerequisite), İstanbul, 1997-2002); an EdD (Doctorate in Education) in Applied Linguistics and TESOL (the University of Leicester (with MA courses as prerequisite), England, 2007-2014).
She worked as an English teacher and the head of private schools (İzmir and İstanbul) (1986-1994) and worked as a teacher-trainer for Oxford University Press (1994-98). She has been working as a lecturer in the department of ELT, Marmara University since 1998 (also as chair (2005-2011; 2021-2022)
Her courses are Curriculum, Material, Coursebook Evaluation and Design in ELT; Teacher Identity, Critical Thinking, Language-Culture in ELT, and sociolinguistics so far.
