Topic: Differentiated tasks for more personalized learning

No matter whether we have thirty learners with a range of levels, or three learners of the same level in a class, no learners learn in exactly the same way. In this session, we'll look at practical ways that tasks can be differentiated in the classroom so that learners of different strengths and weaknesses feel they are being challenged at a level appropriate for them, whether that means increasing the level of challenge of tasks or adding more support. These are simple techniques that do not require a lot of preparation but which allow learners the opportunity to complete the same task in slightly different ways, achieve clear goals, and make progress in their English language skills.
